Each year, Year Fives go on camp to Emu Gully early in December. There were four groups, Alfa, Bravo, Charlie and Delta. In all four of these groups we learnt great team work skills and how to look after each other. In the three days we developed great leadership and mateship skills and learnt how to face our fears. We had to work as a team with people we would not normally pick to work with. Team work and leadership is very important at camp because you work better if you are in a team.
We had fun at camp but it was also challenging. We learnt it is not all about you, you have to work as a team. We also learnt the values of camp. The food at camp was delicious. The cabins all had meanings to them and the cabins were very nice to sleep in. Camp was fun, the many activities were fun and we learnt more about the ANZACs through story telling. Camp was a great experience and we would recommend it to younger year levels.
